As I say in my bio, when I'm not writing, I enjoy sipping scotch while watching the twisted humor of Drunk History. Seeing our past through the bottom of a whisky glass is more entertaining than reading a dusty textbook. And it is so true.
Now more than ever, comedy and laughter are absolutely what we need.
If you've never seen Drunk History on Comedy Central, you are missing out. It's people who have had a bit too much to drink, retelling unusual events from history and the scenes are recreated with actors. You just have to watch to truly appreciate it.
This one stars Colin Hanks and is about Lawnchair Larry, a guy who takes a 15,000-foot-high flight into the sky on a lawn chair attached to 45 helium-filled weather balloons. Crazy stuff! And then to have it told by a drunk guy? Classic.

C.G.Harrisis the author of the sci-fi series, The Rax and the urban fantasy series, The Judas Files.. The Nine, book one in the series, is now available as an audiobook narrated by the talented, MacLeod Andrews.
I haven't seen those yet. I will have to check them out. I like the one about the Women's baseball league and the Florence Nightengale one.
I love Drunk History! I have lots of favorites: the Christmas one with Ryan Gosling, the Hamilton one, and the Frederick Douglass one come to mind.
